"What... is with... your spines???"

"We have more vertebrae."

"Nothing should be this bendy. I can't make it look right."

"That's because you've given me a girl's chest. I'm not female, you note."

"Oh, shut up. I'm having to figure out how to draw a stocky light-gravity-worlder with extra vertebrae bent almost backwards! You can stop smirking now!"

"Perhaps you should have done some anatomical renderings fir—don't do that!"

"Hahahahaha! YOUR HAIR IS MOVING AND YOU CAN'T STOP IT!"

"I look..."

"...like something out of an adolescent girl's fantasy? You are nude... I can move your leg, you know."

"You're a little old to qualify for adolescent girl fantasies."

"Oh, low blow. You'd better take the pencil from me, because it's no quarter now!"

I had an argument with one of my characters once. It ended in a draw.

Ha, ha. May as well make him short while you're at it. ;)

Really, that's the first way I can think of making him "stocky" at all, especially with that long neck. Otherwise, it's more along the lines of providing comparison every time you want to make that point.

*giggling* I love it when stuff like this happens (though it's usually me who's protesting; "No, I will not draw that!" "Yes, you will. *pose*" "*sketches* ...Why do you hate me?" :D).

Oh yes.

I don't think you'll be able to see it once the picture's cropped properly, but that doesn't mean I can't upload the entire scan, the way I did with the Aphorisms sketches. :)

My word, given your threat to move his leg, that makes one suspicious! XD

I can well imagine his outrage.

It reminds me, though, of my study of centaur anatomy. I got to wondering how a centaur archer could have the flexibility to turn around and shoot straight over their own haunches -- or even a bit to the opposite side. They have 6 extra vertebrae: 1 in the neck, 2 in the upper back, and 3 in the lumbar region. I guess there's an advantage to having no artistic talent in this life; I'd be tearing my hair out trying to draw some of the positions they can twist into.

I refuse to ever be too old for adolescent girl fantasies. EVER.
When I am a hundred and eleven, I will still be in touch with my inner 15-year-old! Or 16. (You see, I was asexual till 15, so I can't really go lower.)

If you ever do a doodle of, say, Shame, the Calligrapher, and a human in their separate proportions, that'd be cool to look at. (One of those "mug shot" kinds of things.)

*giggle* Well, we're all... short and thick-boned and have NO NECKS, compared to them, right? Heavyworlders! Also, we may tend to bounce more when dropped off roofs on their planet?

Just what situation were you thinking of to prompt you to imagine humans bouncing off the roofs of Ai-Naidari buildings? o_O

o/~ It's raining humans! o/~
