Patron Gifts, Review Copies
For those of you who've asked about an autographed copy... the book will be print-on-demand so I'm not going to be shipping them myself. I thought then it would be good if the Patron Gift for those who donated would be a bookplate you can adhere to the inside front cover with a message from me. :)

People who want bookplates so they can have an autographed copy can get one too, but it'll be a different design.

Anyway, I'm going to order some review copies, so now's the time to ask: do any of you write reviews for magazines/newspapers/columns/blogs? If so, I can send you a copy to review. :)

It's $20 for a copy of the book (doesn't matter who you are). If you donated during the project, you get a special bookplate which I mail (or give) to you.

If you want an autographed copy, you can send me money for a bookplate (which has a different design).

Reviewers, as traditional, get a free copy in exchange for writing a review for a venue, like SF Site or Strange Horizons.

I review for Green Man Review, if you're interested in having a review up there.

Excellent! And my editor has approved me to review your material, so that's a go. (I know I shouldn't have volunteered before I asked him, but I was so excited. And he said yes, so no harm.)

I write reviews for various places, including my blog "The Wordsmith's Forge." I often cross-post my blogged reviews to other places such as [info]bookish. I can also post a review to the Book Chat forum in the Grey School of Wizardry ... oh, that reminds me, should I go ahead and add this as the required textbook for the Kherishdar Civilization Course now?

You're getting a copy anyway, because of your work copy-editing. If you review it across several different places, I of course won't mind a whit. :)

As for the textbook, I'd say wait until the Amazon listing goes up (maybe a week, sounds like). That'll be an easier way for people to buy it than going through the POD publisher.

You should promote the book at Albacon.

And do a panel on non-traditional publishing.

I will feed you chocolate. :)

*laugh* I wish, but traveling for me is too hard right now. I have to arrange for babysitting for the entire weekend and then find the money to get there.

I have managed to swing it for one convention at the end of this year, I don't think I can do more than that. :)

But I will have fliers to download for people who are attending conventions, if they want to hang one!

Bookplates with personal messages! A fan-TAB-ulous idea. This patron thanks you very much for such a great memento. :-)

And once again, I wish peaceful nights of rest to you and the Wiggler.

Will I be able to get a copy of this in a few months when our finances recover from our move? Cos right now... it just isn't an option. (Obviously I'll pay for the intl shipping too!)

It'll be on sale on Amazon, and it's POD since it doesn't go out of print until I decide it does. So yes, there will be plenty of copies to buy at whatever point you can afford them!

Sime-Gen! :D They are a lot of fun. I haven't been as active as I was in the past, but I have put up a few nice reviews, and I'd be happy to review your book for them.
