It’s comics day!

I am almost done with Bloom; yesterday I wrote 17 pages, bringing the book to the final set piece. I forced myself to stop because I didn’t want to rush the ending. And what an ending…! I am wrapping up a trilogy that’s been a decade in the telling, one that includes a novella and short story in addition to two other novels. I want to give it the time and gravitas it deserves. I’ve always felt a good ending is important, and writing Thenet’s and Ke Bakil’s… yes, that deserves care and attention above and beyond the norm.
Even so, I expect to be done today or tomorrow. Certainly by the end of the week.
And finally, more to remind myself than anything else, I’ve come up with an idea for a space marine short story to give to that anthology. I hope to write that this week before moving on to the Godkin edits.
