I was about to go to bed when I saw that Daniel Dorse had uploaded the completed Admonishments audiobook, so I decided on a whim to listen to some of it. And ended up listening to all of it and…

I mean, there are a couple of funny stories in the Admonishments and he did a laugh-out-loud rendition of those, but most of these are just blood-curdling, and my heart raced straight through them, and a couple of them my teeth actually chattered from shivering. What… on… earth… did I write… seriously who is going to be able to listen to this without going crazy…!!

Uh, needless to say, he did a tremendous job. But seriously. TERRIFYING. Writing that stuff is one thing. Listening to it activates some primal, visceral response. I think I need a drink.
